After establishing himself as a top New York agent, Christopher Halstead, nephew of Halstead Property co-founder Clark Halstead, launched The Christopher Halstead Team in the spring of 2016 to provide clients with comprehensive, industry-leading service in both the residential and commercial marketplaces.
The team is comprised of four real estate professionals -- Chris Halstead, Edward "Ward" Eagan, Lisa Mathias and Bridget Sullivan -- each bringing unique market expertise and skill sets to the group, and each taking pride in delivering integrity and value to all customers and clients, from first-time buyers to prominent developers. Chris Halstead, with deep roots in a real estate family, has a thorough understanding of each of Manhattan's neighborhoods. From Tribeca to the Upper East Side, Harlem and the Financial District, his knowledge of townhouses, condos and co-ops-- particularly in the $4 million to $10 million range -- is vast.

Edward "Ward" Eagan has a long history in residential real estate and, through on going networking, has also developed a niche in commercial investment and development opportunities. He brings this commercial component to the team and, representing both buyers and sellers, works closely with investors, developers and property owners to help align their real estate needs and business objectives.
Lisa Mathias, having worked in entertainment, finance and marketing, brings to the team more than 20 years of corporate experience and a network of contacts across various industries. Her top-notch people skills enable her to provide the highest quality client service to her buyers and sellers.
A third-generation New Yorker, Bridget Sullivan has lived in Queens, Manhattan and Brooklyn and is fluent in the "language of the city." She knows where to go, what to do and who to ask to get things done.
What is the team's main area of focus?
Chris: One of our team's key advantages is that, between us, we have the experience and expertise to deliver value to our clients in different neighborhoods across New York City. We have had numerous listings in areas such as the Upper East Side, Midtown, Flatiron and the Financial District, and we have also had buyers looking all over NYC, including the Upper West Side, Chelsea, Tribeca and Brooklyn.
What is your favorite neighborhood to do business in?
Bridget: I happen to love Flatiron. The area is undergoing a transformation and it's fascinating to watch. We currently have a listing there now, a stunning duplex available in the famous Gilsey House.
As part of a primarily residential firm, how have you developed the commercial component of your team?
Ward: We're constantly looking to raise awareness about investment opportunities among our clients. I have a residential background and bring the devotion and personalization I've delivered to customers in that space to the commercial field, in which it is largely missing. I love connecting the dots for clients and providing investors and developers, both global and local, with the attention they deserve when they consider investing in multifamily properties.
Why did you join The Christopher Halstead Team?
Lisa: The team is unique because we all have such diverse, impressive backgrounds and bring different elements of relevant experience to the group. With my background in marketing and finance, I was excited by the opportunity to add value to a new team that is defining itself within the industry and also has a strong heritage behind it, as part of Halstead Property, one of the most visible and respected real estate firms in the tristate area.
Where do you see The Christopher Halstead Team in five years?
Chris: Our team will continue to expand and build market share. In fact, we will be adding a new team member within the next month. And in five years' time, we will bring on more great individuals, each with honed special areas of interest, so that we can continue to offer superior personal service to different facets of the market.
